Day One - Aili and I have a 10-hour layover in London, arriving from LA around Noon and leaving for Greece tonight for an overnighter to Athens, then Corfu. Just enough time for a tube ride downtown and walk down the Thames with some stops for a pint or two at pubs along the river. We headed first to St. Paul's Cathedral, 
then walked across the pedestrian bridge toward the Tate Modern and then along the river. We stoped into the Clink mueseum, site of the original London Dungeon. Of course we had to go in - the requirements of travelling with a professional criminalogist! It was a beautiful, sunny spring day in London, perfect for a day of strolling the streets of merry old England! We continued our walk to the Tower Bridge and past the City Hall - a view that's an excellent example of the coexistance of old and new London.
